There isn’t much talk about the Philadelphia Eagles being a “dream team” any longer, and heading in to their week six matchup against the NFC East rival Washington Redskins, there simply is no more room for error if they are going to be a playoff team. The Eagles have dropped four in a row after opening the season with a win at the St. Louis Rams, and if they are going to have any chance at making something of their sports betting season, they will need a win against their division rivals this Sunday.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins (-1)
Sunday, 1:00 PM ET
While the Eagles have surprised for all the wrong pay per head reasons, Washington has turned things around from a year ago and has won three of their first four games to move out front in the NFC East. The Redskins’ only loss came against the Dallas Cowboys in week three, and if they are going to reach the postseason this year they will need to win against teams from their own division. Turnovers sealed the Eagles’ fate against the Buffalo Bills as Michael Vick threw four interceptions and Jason Avant fumbled in a 31-24 loss, and if they are going to have any chance this week they will need to cover the basics and avoid turnovers. Vick is still an elite NFL talent and is surrounded by playmakers, so it won’t be a surprise when he shows up again with his back against the wall.
