Although for many bettors the urge of wagering on the favorite is too good to pass up because the odds are more promising, betting the underdog also has its advantages. As we mentioned earlier, underdogs facing teams outside their division have more difficulty. The same study from before shows that underdogs playing teams outside their division have totaled a win loss record of 4401-6434 with 341 units lost.
